La Vendange Child Friendly Gites: Pool Area (home)

Our south-facing swimming pool is 10mx5m. It is 2m at the deep end and 90cm deep at the shallow end. There is also a baby splash pool which usually lives under the pergola, but can easily be moved about.

The pool area is fully enclosed and certified to the 2005 European safety standards. The area is entered by a self-closing childproof gate (magnalatch system) and the pool is protected by a movement detection alarm.

There are two childproof gates and the car park that separate the main lawn with the play equipment from the pool area (see the site plan for details on the exact layout of the property).

Child Friendly Pool Facilities

32m2 of roof-mounted solar heating panels help to maintain a comfortable water temperature from May through to October (generally about 6 degrees higher than unheated pools).

The pool is fitted with timer-controlled underwater floodlights for night swimming.

A shade tent, tables, chairs, plenty of sunloungers, outdoor games and a small sandpit for toddlers are all supplied.
